Comments: Hi Rolf, I entered your guest book some time ago as I am from Snitterfield. I believe the unidentified house may be on Church lane on the left of the final bend before the church. It is set down behind a wall. I would love to see a picture of the saucy six in the Green on your tour as my gran lived at no: 6 for quite some time up until the mid eighties. My favourite site, thankyou.I look forward to coming back soon to see my family.

I feel I would have done better with 2000 or ME. I found your site when I reloaded my e-mail addresses with the help of bt's duty engineer. Any comments with regard to xp would be gratefully recieved Eddie

My parents left the area soon after my birth, my father was in the RAF and stationed nearby. It was wonderful to see Snitterfield. I may make a visit soon as a result. Thank you.

I was surfing for Java coding standards and finding a lot of overblown diatribes when I stumbled onto your essay (link on Roedy Green's page). What a breath of fresh air. I'm going to share it with my colleagues. Thanks for your efforts. On the subject of coding standards, Sun's standards seem to be the closest to what I'm after and my own predjudices on style. Best regards, John Howison

My ancestors originated in Sowerby Bridge near Sheffield Yorkshire. My grandfather was George; his father was Charles and Charles's father was Henry. That's as far as I am able to go back. If you have any links, I would really appreciate an email with any info. Thanks. Sounds like you are doing interesting work. Cheers Jon Howarth (Ottawa, Canada)

Comments: Dear Rolf I work at The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland where we have a Virtual Campus providing communication facilities and course materials for residential and distance learning students. We have a high proportion of dyslexic students who would benefit from having the ability to change the colour of their display background and foreground text flexibly. Can you tell me if your colour wheel is suitable for a viewer to use, or whether it is only designed for use by an HTML author. Also whether we would be allowed to use it for this purpose. By the way I was born at Ryan Hill, a Nursing Home just near Snitterfield and grew up in Alveston, just across the river from you. Greatly enjoyed your aerials of me home town. Best wishes Michael Steele

Comments: that is a great tool. Any more info how to use all its capabilities? I am looking for a Scientific Calculator that will be able to apply the law of cosines. I am a throws coach and we are trying to see if we can develop a program to give quick measurements fot shot put, discus, Javelin and hammer throws. We are using a laser measuring device but need the cosine function and then beable to use that in the formula . Again the calculator is great . Thanks

Comments: I teach Java, but am just starting to teach myself JavaScript. I found your url in my copy of the "Official Netscape JavaScript 1.2", 2nd Edition, by Kent & Kent, p11. I have downloaded your two html pages with the script & the accompanying two gifs. Very cool!! What is your recommendation for the latest JavaScript text, or do you think this one is enough (I've only gotten to p11, so I will accept whatever you say about the rest of it). I did see a reference to Danny Goodman's "JavaScript Bible", 3rd Edition (it got 4 stars in the Amazon reviews). I enjoyed Mathew's page. We have a new grandson, Timothy Patric, 38 months, living with us, so we just went thru all that you are now starting to go thru with Mathew. It is a hasstle, but, believe me, there's no greater pleasure than to get their love. Also, was sorry to see the trouble you had with your flood. Out here, 50 miles south of San Francisco, we don't have to worry about floods, just earthquakes ;) Best regards, Bill

Comments: Rolf, Very interesting to see my home village on the net. But what about the rest of the village? Bell lane, Pigeon Green and the lovely church? Also, the back view of someone's motorbike does not do justice to what (at the moment at least) is a lovely Warwickshire village. I was interested to see your house down the Green because I remember when the old Co-op used to be opposite and Mrs Brooke's shop (opposite the Methodist chapel) was somewhere I used to buy my sweets from. Despite having been in London for the past 12 years it is still at the moment a nice place to come back to.

Comments: hello, I am am expatriate of the UK currently living in Detroit USA. My wife is currently back in the UK for christmas and looking at potential homes for our move back next summer. She has been telling me all about this lovely house she has seen in a little village called Snitterfield. So it was for me fantastic and exciting to see what the village actually looks like after all I had heard on the phone. It gives a good impression of the layout and size. Can't wait to try out the pub! Unfortunately I didn't see the house that is for sale in your virtual tour. I really enjoyed the tour and your pictures of the surrounding area are very striking, the one of Kenilworth castle will now be used as my backdrop on the computer. Thanks again Regards Fraser Mattock.

Snitterfield is the home of my parents-in-law, Tim and Jean Dronsfield, of the Gables, Smiths Lane, two or three doors up fronm the pub, and I think you just about have the bottom of their drive on one of your photos. For a tyro like me this is the sort of find that makes browsing around the net worthwhile. Perhaps I'll see you in the pub when we next visit the in-laws (That is no doubt the sort of thing that makes publishing a web page a pain in the neck!)

Comments: Hello! I've lived in Snitterfield all my life, as my Dad has too. My parents still live in Church Road and my grand- parents live just down the road from you. It was lovely to see Snitt on the Internet being so far away at the mo, it was quite comforting. It would be nice if you could do a tour of the whole village but I know that that would take some time and effort!
Yours, Caroline Lambert x

Good Day Sir, My name is Dion R. Olguin, I came across your calculator back in July at the Tim Wallace Javascript archive. It is still the best calculator on the net. In all my searching I have not come across any calculators with such a sophisticated image map to run calculator functions, and none of the other calculators have trig functions. I am here to ask you for permission to use your calculator on the Santa Monica College Chemisrty Club website. I am due to update the site and your calculator would be an outstanding feature to share with my fellow students.

It was like the Species movielog that I down loaded back in the Summer where you get to work thorough various stills from the movie as you go thro' the plot (you had choices to make at certain decision points) and the "what-happens-next" scenario was fun.
I have to admit the PlayBoy link came as a bit of a surprise. Of course, you only read this for the in- depth interviews they provide ;-) like the Johnny Dep page ... How do they get round the issue of having nudity pics on the net? I guess there must be random checks by the Mary Whitehouse squaddies. (It's actually there to see if anyone reads my links and comments on it, but of course no-one is going to believe me for saying that! -Rolf)
