Question

I'm getting a brushed metal background to my drop down lists and menus! (Mac)

Answer

There is a bug in Java under Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger that means popup menus and combo boxes are drawn incorrectly with a brushed metal background. This is purely cosmetic but will hopefully be fixed soon by a Java update from Apple.
