Question

When I import a DV movie CatDV seems to detect hundreds of "scenes", one every second or so!

Answer

Early versions of CatDV had a bug that could lead to erroneous scenes being detected and wrong timecode values being displayed. Make sure you're using the latest version available from the CatDV download page.
