Question

I'm trying out CatDV 4 and it's saying "This version of CatDV has expired or your registration code is invalid (code 4)"

Answer

Although CatDV 3 registration codes are valid with the CatDV 4 beta (until August 2005), licenses are stored in a different format and you need to go to the preferences dialog and re-enter your registration code from your original email.

You might also be asked to re-enter your code if you switch back to using an older version. CatDV 3.0 will warn you that it won't overwrite preferences saved by a later version, but if you enter the Preferences dialog and edit them anyway you are able to override this check.
