Sales and Support FAQQuestionI'm having problems installing QuickTime for Java (Windows)AnswerIf you install QuickTime 7 or later for Windows then all the components you need are included automatically. If for some reason you need to use an earlier version of QuickTime then you can do so but you need to do a manual installation to ensure you install QuickTime for Java and other components, as these are left out of a default installation. The default QuickTime 6 installer for Windows installs iTunes but doesn't give you the option of installing QuickTime for Java. Instead, you need to use the QuickTime standalone installer and select a Custom installation and then choose All components. If you have already installed iTunes + QuickTime, go to Start Menu > All Programs > QuickTime > QuickTime Updater and you will have the option to update your installation to add QuickTime for Java, otherwise use the QuickTime 6 standalone installer and proceed as above. 22/4/2005 |
