You can use the clip details dialog to make a selection of part of a clip. You can set In2 and Out2 points while the movie is playing and review the selection before creating a new secondary clip based on the selection. This is the preferred method for specifying your own In and Out points during logging, but if necessary you can also manually adjust the In and Out points of a clip by typing in new timecode values. You can freely cut, copy and paste clips to delete unwanted clips or make copies as required, even between catalogs. (Related data such as thumbnails, source media, tape or import source details are automatically copied across at the same time.)
