New versions of CatDV with both bug fixes and feature enhancements are made available all the time. In general, minor version number increments are made available to existing users free of charge while a small upgrade fee may be charged for major version increments. If you purchase CatDV just before a major new release you will be entitled to a free upgrade for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase (unless the new version costs more than the version you bought, in which case you may be asked to pay the difference at most). Bug fix releases are made available free of charge, as and when required. Registered users are entitled to free technical support by email for a period of one year from the original date of purchase.
