Question

When I try to build preview movies it fails with a -50 error

Answer

There is a problem with the default 'Balanced' preview preset when using QuickTime 7.3. Due to a bug in QuickTime it seems the Qualcomm Purevoice audio codec no longer works. If you get this error you should go to CatDV Preferences and select a different preview preset (alternatively, if you have CatDV Pro you can Customise the settings and change the audio codec).
