Question

I'm using the Enterprise Server and Live HTML Publisher gives me "You need to log in to server" errors when I try to browse the database

Answer

Because the Enterprise Server uses permissions to control who has access to which catalogs you need to specify which catalogs the HTML Publisher makes available. There are two options, you can either allow anonymous access to "unowned" catalogs (catalogs which aren't assigned to any particular group) or you can create a special user for the HTML Publisher to use and give that user access to whichever groups you want to make available through the web interface.

In the CatDV Control Panel edit the server config and either check the "Allow anonymous access" box or enter a valid user id in the "Web user name" field.
