I'm getting a -37 error when capturing previews in Live Capture Plus

Answer

Due to a bug in QuickTime you may get -37 or -47 errors reported if the directory or filename of the preview movie has a component longer than 30 characters. If you get this error, try shortening the tape name you entered. You should normally keep tape identifiers quite short (eg. "1471-B") rather than entering a detailed description in this field.
