Yes, you're right, there is a limit to the number of grouping values CatDV displays. We figured we had to have some limit for performance reasons - after all, you could could have 10,000 clips with 10,000 different dates (or bins, or whatever field you are using for grouping). If there are that many different values then it stops being useful as a grouping attribute.

In your case, though, you might want to organise your clips by month first, and then group by date as a secondary grouping category within each month. (Just click on the grouping button again and you'll get a second grouping column.)
